THI Business School celebrated its AACSB accreditation in the summer with a festive event. Under the motto “We made it!”, employees, students, alumni, business representatives and other guests of honor gathered to celebrate this special milestone.

The evening was hosted by Prof. Dr. Robert Wittmann, who led through the varied program. One highlight of the event was a look back at the long journey to accreditation. It became clear that the then Dean of the Business School and current President of THI, Prof. Dr. Walter Schober, had provided the initial impetus for accreditation back in 2004.

The ceremony offered exciting insights through interviews with those involved in the accreditation project, such as Dean Prof. Dr. Bernd Scheed and Project Manager Prof. Dr. Christian Locher. AACSB representatives sent their congratulations via video message. An entertaining quiz on accreditation ensured interaction and enthusiasm among the guests.

It was particularly pleasing that guest of honor Sauli Sohlo from Oulu Business School was also able to join in the celebrations. As a mentor, he accompanied THI Business School throughout the entire accreditation journey and warmly congratulated them on their successful achievement.

With this celebration, THI Business School not only recognized a significant milestone, but also celebrated the strong community that made this success possible. The event impressively demonstrated how the collaboration between employees, students, alumni and partners from business and academia forms the basis for this international success.
