Transferraum Zukunft - Shaping tomorrow

What will life in the Ingolstadt region look like in the future? Which developments and trends in business, technology and society will characterise the coming years, and which of these will be decisive for the region's future? These questions not only concern politics and business, but also the region's universities. By developing joint scenarios, possible visions of the future are made tangible and the potential for change becomes visible. For regional companies, this approach offers targeted support in the planning and implementation of innovation and transformation processes.

Interdisciplinary dialogues, extraordinary events and innovative ideas for sustainable regional development - the Mensch in Bewegung knowledge transfer project creates a platform for shaping the transformation towards sustainable futures. The Bavarian Foresight Institute is responsible for developing formats for the Transferraum Zukunft. Other central fields of action of the project are AI & digitalisation and sustainability.

Mensch in Bewegung is a joint project of the Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) and the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (KU) and is funded by the "Innovative University" initiative, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the Joint Science Conference GWK.

Focal points of the Transferraum Zukunft:

  • Identification of relevant future topics
Recognising and evaluating key trends and developments relevant to the future of the Ingolstadt region at an early stage.
  • Future workshops for scenario development
Promoting a common understanding and targeted development of future scenarios as a sound basis for strategic decisions.
  • Experiential spaces of the future
Designing analogue and digital experience spaces that provide insights into potential developments and change processes.
  • Future navigation toolbox
Development of a toolbox for recording early warning signals and creating specific scenarios for various organisations.

These focal points open up perspectives that strengthen regional players in their ability to adapt and make decisions. The combination of future expertise and local knowledge creates a stable foundation for sustainable growth and resilience in a constantly changing world.
