Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt offers services and administrative services as well as information for the public about its activities on its website in accordance with Art. 2 Para. 6 BayHSchG, Art. 4 Para. 1 S. 1 and 2 BayEGovG.
The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions (European Data Protection Regulation - DSGVO, Bavarian Data Protection Act - BayDSG).
In order to adequately protect your data during transmission, we use secure technical systems and other measures such as encryption. In doing so, we are guided by the current state of the art.

Your data subject rights
According to the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the following rights with regard to your personal data:
- If your personal data is processed, you have the right to obtain information about the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR). Please note that this right to information may be restricted or excluded in certain cases. To assert your right to information, please contact: datenschutz@thi.de
- If incorrect personal data is being processed, you have the right to have this data corrected (Art. 16 DSGVO).
- If the legal requirements are met, you may request the erasure or restriction of processing (Art. 17 and 18 DSGVO).
- If you have consented to the data processing or if there is a contract for data processing and the data processing is carried out with the help of automated procedures, you may have the right to data portability (Art. 20 DSGVO).
- If you make use of your above-mentioned rights, the public body will check whether the legal requirements for this are met.
Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The supervisory authority responsible for us is the Bavarian State Commissioner for Data Protection, Wagmüllerstraße 18, 80538 Munich.

Right of objection
For reasons arising from your particular situation, you may object to the processing of personal data relating to you by us at any time (Art. 21 DSGVO). If the legal requirements are met, we will subsequently no longer process your personal data.
Right of withdrawal
You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) DSGVO). This does not affect the lawfulness of the data processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation.
When you contact our web servers (for example via app or browser), we automatically collect the following access data:
- the page from which the file was requested
- the name of the file accessed
- the date and time of the request
- the amount of data transferred
- the access status
- the description of the type of web browser or operating system used
- the IP address of the requesting computer.
Purpose and legal basis
We process the data in particular to ensure the smooth use and maintenance of our platform, as well as to guarantee network and information security. Information of this kind is statistically evaluated by us, if necessary, in order to optimise our platform and the technology behind it.
The processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e DSGVO in conjunction with Art. 6 para. 3 DSGVO. Art. 6 para. 3 DSGVO, Art. 6 para. 1 BayDSG for the operation of our platform.

THI only passes on your data on a legally permissible basis or with your consent. No data will be passed on beyond this.

Your data will be deleted after 90 days at the latest.
3. provision prescribed or required
The provision of the aforementioned personal data is not required by law or contract. However, without this data, the functionality of our platform cannot be guaranteed. For this reason, an objection is excluded.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies serve to make our offer more user-friendly, effective and secure. The use of these functionalities can be switched off by the respective user through browser programme settings.
On this website, anonymised visitor data is collected and stored with the help of the tracking system "Matomo" in order to optimise our offer. Cookies may be used for this purpose. The data collected is used to create user profiles under pseudonyms and is not passed on to third parties. The data is not used to personally identify visitors to the website.
There is no linking of the data with the bearer of the pseudonym. You can object to the collection and storage of data at any time. This objection will also be stored in your browser for future visits to this website.
Social Media
Purpose and legal basis
Our social media presences are part of our public relations work in accordance with Art. 2 Para. 6 BayHSchG. For target group-oriented information and communication, we enable you to quickly contact us electronically and communicate directly via the media of your choice.
We reserve the right to disclose, block or delete content, posts and enquiries that violate the rights of third parties or that constitute a criminal offence or misdemeanour or do not comply with legal or contractual obligations of conduct by transmitting them to the competent authority or social media service.
We use statistics from the social media providers to compile business statistics, to conduct organisational studies, to optimise the content offered and to ensure network and information security in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 BayDSG, Section 19 Abs. 4 TDDDG , Art. 11 Para. 1 BayEGovG. Insofar as the processing purpose is not impaired, we anonymise or pseudonymise personal data.
Recipients
If you use our social media channels and pages, their providers also process your personal data. The processing of your data may also take place outside the scope of the GDPR. This may result in additional risks for you, as, for example, the enforcement of data subject rights may be more difficult.
Social media providers usually create comprehensive profiles of their members and those who come into contact with their media services. These profiles are used for the respective providers' own purposes. This also includes the marketing of advertising. Should you use our offers with these providers, the providers can recognise the relationship between you and us.

Recipients of your data may be service providers who act as order processors for THI. We oblige these service providers to comply with data protection regulations within the meaning of Art. 28 DSGVO.

Video surveillance on the THI campus ground
Purpose and legal basis
In order to exercise our domiciliary rights and in fulfilment of our public duties, we use a video surveillance system on the university campus. The video surveillance system is used exclusively to protect the legal interests mentioned in Art. 24 Para. 1 BayDSG. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e, Art. 6 para. 3 lit. b DSGVO in conjunction with. Art. 24 para. 1 BayDSG.
Recipients
THI only passes on your data on a legally permissible basis. No data will be passed on beyond this.
Storage period
The video recordings and documents made from them will be deleted no later than two months after collection, unless they are required for the prosecution of administrative offences of considerable importance or criminal offences or for the assertion of legal claims.

We reserve the right to amend this data protection declaration from time to time so that it always complies with the current legal requirements or in order to implement changes to our services in the data protection declaration, e.g. when introducing new services. The new data protection statement will then apply to your next visit.
